What polishing changes
Swirl marks and haze break up the reflection in the clear coat. That's why dark paint can look gray in the sun even when there isn't any dirt on it. Polishing works that damaged outer layer so the reflection gets cleaner and the color looks deeper again.
How hard we go depends on the car. Paint enhancement is a lighter polish. One-step correction goes after more defects. Two-step correction separates the cutting and finishing work. We use the word polishing for all of that, but the time and result are very different.
The polisher is not the first tool we use
The paint has to be washed and decontaminated first. Otherwise the pad is picking up dirt and dragging it around. Once the car is truly clean, we can see the real defects and test a combination.
After polishing, we protect the paint and explain how to wash it. A clean finish can be marred again surprisingly fast with dirty brushes, rough towels, or a tunnel wash.

Is polishing safe?
It is when the paint is inspected and the person doing it understands the limit. Polishing removes a small amount of material, so more aggressive is not always better.
Can you polish over ceramic coating?
Polishing will usually remove or compromise the coating in that area. If the coating is already there, tell us what was applied and when.
Which polishing service do I need?
We decide that from the paint and the result you want. A test spot usually clears it up quickly.
