About Vanish Detail & Ceramic Coatings
We didn’t start out with some big plan to open a detailing shop. We had a used-car lot in Riverbank, the detailers we called kept not showing up, and eventually we said forget it. We’ll clean the cars ourselves.
We ran that dealership for nine years. By 2019 and 2020, the car business was changing and we were already doing more and more of the reconditioning ourselves. We liked the work. We liked watching a car go from something nobody was excited about to something a person couldn’t wait to drive. So in 2020, we opened Vanish.
The kids got pulled into it too
Vanish was a family job before it was a business
Chase, Julia, and Jude all helped with the dealership cars when they were young. Jude was barely walking, but he could wipe wheels, so that became his job. One time we made $1,500 from detailing and I split it evenly between the three kids. Chase and Julia were pretty mad that the toddler who cleaned a handful of wheels got the same $500 they did.
We still laugh about it. And we still work together. The shop, tools, products, and process have gotten a whole lot better since those dealership days, but the part we like hasn’t changed. We want you to look at your own car and be excited about it again.

Why we want the car at our shop
We can do better work when we control the room
We know mobile detailing is convenient. We also know direct sun, blowing dust, and a 110-degree panel can ruin your day fast.
Inside the Riverbank shop, we’ve got the lighting to see what’s actually in the paint. We have shade, deionized water, the right equipment, and all of our products where they belong. That makes a difference during a Hand Car Wash. It matters even more when we’re doing Paint Correction or putting down a Ceramic Coating.
We’re probably not the cheapest place you can call. We put too much time into prep and the little stuff for that. But if you care about the car and you want somebody to be straight with you about it, we’re probably a good fit.
